HAVE A BLESSED EASTER!

"You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified.  He has risen!"  (Mark 16:6)

It gives me chills just thinking about it.  While it is so sad to imagine the agony and suffering of our Lord, Easter Sunday (or Resurrection Day) is the day of hope for all. There is such turmoil, suffering and pain all over the world today, and through His resurrection, we are assured of hope and eternal life through Him.  And we know (and I think very soon) He will return to bring a new Heaven and new earth where the sorrow and troubles will be no more.

May the spirit of hope that Easter brings, help you find the peace that comes from knowing the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.

If you are in the Myrtle Beach, SC area, please visit Chapel By The Sea Baptist Church at 1051 Sea Mountain Highway, Cherry Grove (North Myrtle Beach) for the 11:00 am Easter Sunday Worship Service on March 31, 2013. I'll be singing, "He's Alive", and after church there will be a free lunch and Easter egg hunt for the kids.

Have a blessed Easter!

Praise the Lord. He has risen!

Matthew 28: 5. "And the angel answered and said unto the women, fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6. He is not here; for he is risen, as he said, Come, see the place where the Lord lay. "

Matthew 28:18. "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."

He is alive in my life, and I hope He is alive in yours. Have a blessed Easter!

Cathy Hendrick and Lisa Ann in Townsville, North Carolina this Sunday

If you are near Kerr Lake in the area of South Hill, VA or Henderson, NC., please stop by and see us at Rock Spring Baptist Church in Townsville, NC this Sunday, March 18, 2012. The service starts at 11:00 am. Cathy Hendrick will be the featured speaker and I will be singing. Cathy's testimony is always awesome. She tells about her faith in the midst of tragedy and how God has helped her cope with losing her twin daughters (age 22) and her husband, John (Hendrick Motor Sports - NASCAR), in a plane crash in Martinsville, VA in 2004. What a blessing she is to everyone who hears her speak!

IT WAS A WEATHER NIGHTMARE WHEN I SANG IN OXFORD, NC

This past Sunday evening, I was at Dexter Baptist Church in Oxford, NC. Cathy Hendrick was the featured speaker, giving her testimony, "Faith In The Midst Of Tragedy." (Always an awesome service!) I sing a few songs before and after her speech. When we left South Carolina Sunday morning, the temperature was about 60 and raining. Then by the time we arrived in Henderson, NC (where we stayed) it had dropped to 30 degrees. Then the rain, snow, ice, sleet and everything else came. It was treacherous driving and there were hundreds of accidents. We praise the Lord for our safety and for His traveling grace!

Today, here in Myrtle Beach we are expecting 80 degrees. (and it's still February) Great day to take a stroll on the beach.

TO MY FRIENDS IN JAPAN

Back in 1998, I traveled to Japan where I gave 7 concerts in 7 different cities. It was an awesome trip, and I met so many wonderful gracious people. My heart is broken because of the disasters that have hit that beautiful country. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Japan.

TOURETTE'S SYNDROME

I have Tourette's Syndrome, and often wonder why more people don't know what it is. It is a neurological disorder that causes the person to have involuntary movements and/or vocalizations. It's kind of like a short circuit in the brain. If you hear someone yell out, or maybe screaming the word, "hey", when you are in a store or other place, that probably is me (or someone else who has Tourette's). It's O.K. to look the one time, but after the first look, please stop staring. It makes it really hard for me because when someone doesn't understand Tourette's it increases my movements or vocalizations. There are many people who suffer from Tourettes, and it would be such a blessing for those of us who have it, to get some understanding from the public. After you figure out that we have Tourette's then give us a smile. That would make all the difference in the world.

Tim Howard, USA Soccer Team Star Goalee, Has Tourette Syndrome too! Go For The World Cup USA Team!

The following is copied from http://www.timhowardstory.com/about.htm

"Tim Howard was born on March 6, 1979, in North Brunswick, New Jersey. His hometown is located within an hour or so from Kearny— the unofficial soccer capitol of the Garden State—and Giants Stadium, where international superstars like Pele and Giorgio Chinaglia were busy creating an audience for the sport when Tim came into the world.

Testimony:
As a child I saw peace in my grandmother's life. Nana's sense of peace was so powerful because it came from her faith in the Lord. Through her, God revealed His love for me as well. It wasn't long before I was following in her footsteps. I wanted the same kind of faith and peace she had, and that is exactly what God gave me.
At age ten, I was diagnosed with Tourette's syndrome, a neurological disorder characterized by physical and verbal tics. Living with Tourette's is not easy. But God has blessed me with the gift of athleticism as well. He has done some powerful things in my life through the combination of these two gifts. Not only has He helped me earn a position with Manchester United; He also has shown me ways to use my position as a professional athlete to encourage others with Tourette's syndrome.
Today, I am blessed to be living a dream. And yet, if it all went away tomorrow, I know I would still have peace. That probably sounds crazy to most people, but that's the kind of peace Christ gives. It is rooted in His love, and it surpasses all understanding. You can experience this same sense of love and peace too. All you have to do is ask for it."

Thank you David Green, CEO of Hobby Lobby

Today (April 1, 2010) I received the following message from the American Family Association and want to share it with you. What a wonderful testimony!

"Dear Friend,
Hobby Lobby is a very special company you should know about. Each Easter and Christmas, CEO David Green and Hobby Lobby place full-page ads in newspapers all across the country. He has been doing this since 1997.

These ads have a single purpose - to spread the good news of Christ! These ads cost Mr. Green's company hundreds of thousands of dollars. Such devotion to the gospel message is worthy of your support of his company.

I would be grateful if you would consider the following suggestions:

1. Send an email to Hobby Lobby CEO David Green, thanking him for his company's dedication to spreading the Good News of Christ!

2. Listen to a radio interview between Mr. Greeen and AFA President, Tim Wildmon.

May God bless you as we celebrate together, the resurection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sincerely,

Tim Wildmon, President
American Family Association"

The Hobby Lobby message can be viewed by clicking on the link below.

May you all have a blessed Easter and wonderful spring!
